Campagnolo Recommended Maintenance Intervals - Wheels and Components

Ever wondered when you should inspect and grease your Ultratorque bottom bracket, replace your chain or when to replace gear cables?

Modern bikes and components use different types of materials, made for lightness and styling. Good mechanical and product knowledge is required to work on modern bikes.

Campagnolo have a recommended maintenance interval table for all their products. Operation required, at distance or time (Whichever comes first) type of use and who should carry out the operation.

Maintenance by a qualified Campagnolo Pro bicycle mechanic using Campagnolo parts, recommended grease/lubricants and specialist tooling will help keep your bike running smoothly.

Pro-Shops can't offer a definitive judgement on warranty - only the UK Service Centres can do that (or in particular circumstances, Campagnolo themselves), but they are in better position than most cycle retailers to comment on any problem that you may have with a Campagnolo product.

My latest find/buy

A unusual Holdsworth touring bike frame made from lightweight British steel.
I think is late 1980's with late 1990's Mavic, 70's Campagnolo and Cinelli parts.
This will be an on going project, finding original parts. Can never have enough bikes!

Ottavio Bottecchia was an Italian cyclist and the first Italian winner of the Tour de France.

khamsin wheels replacing bearings & freehub body

I don't ride on these wheels myself, but I do service them frequently. From a mechanics point of view, they are a pleasure to work on and are well built. 

When up grading wheels on your bike, the best way to gauge what to spend, is 30% of the total value of your bike. Most new bikes you buy are fitted with wheels to the value of 10% and are not up to the job, and would soon need to be upgraded!
